today the site went down again, so far so good, but now when I decided to check again I noticed that the tag auto fill suggestions are not working properly.
usually the auto fill suggestions appears once you type at least 3 letters on the tag search, but even if I type the whole tag the suggestions won't pop with exception of "animated" that for some reason is the only I've found working

Anyone having issues with playing newer webm videos? Since a day ago, up to a certain video posting, none of the webm posts after it have been playing on the site. (Downloading is perfectly fine)

same issue here. the reponse is still 200, but it's returning the browser check page instead of a json.

I also have this issue. I'm pretty sure it also happened the last time the site went down (though at my time zone I only hear about it afterwards, so not sure), so I guess it has something to do with the "maintenance" on the back-end, maybe similar to the API issues a couple others have. The last time it happened I think it took at least an hour to get back to normal
EDIT: The bug only appears for me when I have re621 active, so whatever that uses is being a problem. Try disabling that or similar extensions if you have any

So what did this maintenance do? Or are they still going through some kinks?

Damn, I was really hoping it wasn't that. But I just checked, and that was the problem. I hope that's fixed ASAP because it's a very important thing for my use of this site. (Since there's still not built-in way to track tags and subscriptions, heh)

I found the issue in re621. The script sets it's own useragent, which triggers cloudflares browser check. The fix is to have the script use the browser's useragent. Example edit to make it work.

I use an old version of Firefox (Firefox 19.0), and I would love to update my browser but my PC is a very old laptop and can't withstand updated browsers (they lag and close after a few minutes).

I can't even afford to buy a new PC, I make enough money to continue living but I can't get a better job because of how the economy is here in Argentina. Please don't abandon people who have no choice but to use older browsers.

Have you tried Pale Moon? It's more light-weight compared to other modern browsers, based on an older version of Firefox. It may provide better compatibility with websites (there are some it has issues with, given it's independently developed and not by Google/Mozilla, but I wager it's better than Firefox 19).

Impersonating a browser user-agent may lead to you getting blocked.
This is an issue on e621's side, and will likely be fixed soon.

The app "E1547" from the Play Store is not accepting "https://e621.net" or "https://www.e621.net" as valid url hosts. Is that on your end or their end? (Had to clear the data in the storage setting of the device to get to that point).

Another victim of Cloudflare here with it not letting me access the site on Android in my main browser that I go to this site on each night with login.
Just yesterday I was able to access the site perfectly fine on the same browser but now its stuck in a loading loop because of Cloudflare.

I managed to reach the site on another browser that is too limited for it but my not quite as old version of Kiwi Browser (my only other option atm) also fails to load it.
(trying to avoid Web 3.0 by not updating beyond a certain point)

I got here on my Windows 10 laptop via incognito then logging in just before that and am posting this from it.
My laptop is just as "heavily guarded" with the same extensions and I only had to unrestrict uMatrix and set betterpopupblocker v2 to allow in order to load the site.
Only idea I have of the site not loading in Kiwi Browser is maybe related to the local VPN my Adguard app uses for blocking ads on http sites on the limited browser.

I have to mention that I read somewhere that disabling the javascript Challenge is one thing that should prevent Cloudflare's excessive blocking of normal traffic.

To give some details, I only browse this site on my personal Android Shield TV while preferring to keep my Windows laptop restricted to normal browsing for balanced security.
Not saying this site is malicious, just avoiding "other" content browsing on the laptop.

I also had to stay on an old Android version because OTA upgrades would've forced me into Scoped Storage which would cripple the device significantly.
My main browser for this site on it is an outdated version of FireFox because they did some horrible stuff on the updates for it.
Newer versions of FireFox are probably already incompatible with my Android version anyway, preventing installation.

Edit: Laptop is a measly close to 720p resolution, Android device renders in 4K with DPI adjustment and FireFox custom-set to zoom out the site further,
at native 4K for optimal browsing.

I keep having an issue where I can access images through pools but if I try to open an image outside of a pool I get an error. It’s been happening for over a week and I haven’t seen anyone else talk about it. Anyone know about it/any fixes?

Yep got the cloudflare loop on android chrome albeit an old version for my own purposes. I use it on chrome instead of android ff because it can actually delete history by date and time but FF infuriatingly, deliberately, chooses not to include this feature.

Clownflare is serving my curl shellscript an HTTP/2 503 error instead of a JSON file. But (as I found out while debugging) when my script runs curl expecting a picture, I get the expected picture data, no error.

I use the anime box app to access e621 normally, but for some reason now it's stuck in infinite loading with errors saying "can't connect to server" despite having a valid login and api key

Hi Watsit, thanks for your reply. I downloaded the latest version of Pale Moon and gave it a try, at first it worked and passed the check, but after a few minutes it started to lag and I had to close it. It's a shame because I liked how they used a design similar to the old Firefox, it seems that I will be stuck with this old version of Firefox forever.

i personally use Booru Nav from the Google Play Store and even with my username and api key, it still just returns a 503 service not available error.

E621 just straight up won’t show images at all unless I have the static link to them. As well, the tag dropdown menu is no longer working

Can't access the site at all. iOS 16.1.2 on the iPhone 13 with puffin browser pro version 5.2.5
I can't use other browsers unfortunately so I hope this is fixed.

The site won't show images for me either, i have an old phone an iphone 5S, and it used to run it fine but since the server went down or whatever happened, i got no images at all. Not even the front page image shows, nothing i do fixes this and everything is up-to-date on Google Chrome and my phone so i hope this is fixed soon.

It's not like CF gives people a choice. Irony, the people using Selenium-style bots with rented IP addresses have no problem with it.

There was a bug that was discovered almost a year ago now were votes could randomly affect the score by a factor of 2/4/8/16/32. Posts above 1_500_000 where fixed at the time, the rest left alone. I'm looking into if it's feasable to also correct the remaining posts. There are about 400 posts with a score difference of 10, with the most extreme case being off by 74 score.

However, I noticed that I cannot use it to remove results. i.e. I find a picture of a tiger I like, I click on the artist. I want to see pictures that won't show up in my original search, so I search artist -spectags:4 but it shows the original image I found, and does not affect the search results at all.

For me, no images are loading at all. Just an endless loading screen.

Our self-hosted analytics server is down right now and as an unfortunate/unintended consequence prevents images from correctly loading.

Not really a bug from the website(s), more of an smart phone end graphic issue, which I guess... got Zonkpunch's Charizard X Braixen video removed for a reason that might possibly be unconfirmed emtirely, the webm post works fine, just have to rotate the screen orintation until the video starts displaying again, even Youtube, Xvideos, etc. all share this same platform related issue. There was nothing wrong with Zonkpunch's video(s) that were deleted because they didn't look right or wouldn't display and so on.

That means you have multiple accounts with the same email address. Send yourself a password reset email (you should receive one for each account) and delete all the accounts you don't want to use.

Since this is at least the third time this question has appeared in this thread, the error message should definitely have these instructions appended to it.

Since signing up to receive email notifications about forum replies, I've found that they can be extremely delayed in sending - sometimes up to 24 hours after the last reply.

Spent about two hours browsing with no problem, then suddenly lag city. It took 5 minutes to load one picture.

There are various videos that won't play. When clicked on the video player disappears. I am not the only one with this issue. I know for a fact it's site related and not device related cause they play just fine on any other site. This had been happening well before the recent maintainence. Most recently it was one of H0RS3's videos and I've never had an issue with his before.

Why does searching for final tags = added tags still return all the posts where the tag was added and later removed? How is that in any way helpful? That can't be how the search is supposed to work, surely?

I’ve completely stopped being able to see or post any comments on my iPad. None of my other devices share this issue.

Change the Mode from Unfavorite to View.

None of the images are physically showing. I click on my favorites or "Popular", but no images show up to click on, and the avatars of all users is just "Image placeholder".
