Got a question. I had someone from the US army trying to recommend me to join during my job earlier today. This is the second time now I had an army recruiter bug me while I'm on the job (1st time was another store). I don't think I come across as anyone unique or special so I don't know why these guys are approaching me, so is it just them trying to recommend any average joe schmoe that seems young or strong/able bodied?

It's not so much that "AI isn’t for everyone", but that many people see AI images as a result of theft. It's not really a problem with AI generation itself (though people do have opinions on the resulting quality), but that most of the available generators are built/trained using other peoples' hard work without knowledge and/or compensation, and/or obtained permission unethically*, for the companies to get unfair advantage and commercial gain over the artist themself (imagine your work being used to train an AI, where other people then use that AI to generate images instead of commissioning or hiring the artists whose work was used; using the artists' own work to compete with them).

* Meaning burying "we can use your art for our AI training" in the TOS for widely used and relied upon software that people are forced to use. Making it technically legal, but not something people would have agreed to if they had a choice.

Huh… just noticed that my recent art I’ve made has negative 3 likes.

Is it because of the AI generated background that triggers people? I get that AI isn’t for everyone but damn… 😅

Not that wierd tbh

I dunno, just feels kinda privacy-invadey to have even found what I have done (assuming it is the same person. if it's not then I've just been digging around picking up some random dude's internet breadcrumbs). and it's not like we were really friends or something, so going out of my way to make contact is a bit, like, inappropriate.

y'know, I kinda wanted to make an attempt to contact him off-site. just to like check in or whatever.

but, ehh... that'd probably just be weird that I'd track someone I honestly barely know down just to let them know that their presence is missed on "legally distinct furry porn Twitter".

Not that wierd tbh

I mean, being on "legally distinct furry porn Twitter" is already kinda weird, is it not? I say go for it

there's also the bit where I'm only like 85% certain that any of the accounts I've tracked down are the same person. furthermore, there's no way to send a private message to the one account I even have that much confidence in...

I’ve been slacking on my songs recently…

It’s been almost 4 months. Gotta get back in the saddle!

Y'all should check this out. This top shelf zaza disrupted my circadian rhythm and yours should be too!

TIL the nicotine pouches I've been using are supposed to be placed in the mouth and tucked under the upper lips.

I've been sticking them in my nose like a cottonball and they somehow still work and perk me up. Tried doing it the proper way and it trickles this unworldly saccharine and fragrant flavor down the tongue then into the throat. It kicks the same way but damn it makes me gag.

If the nose thing works better for you i say go for it!

If you know of someone named T. Eliot, just know that their name spells "toilet" backwards. Use this information cautiously.

If you're preparing many posts to upload, and have the tags and all ready, it's pretty fast to hit the limit. The tag limit is pretty reachable if you've got a tagging project

hmm... I could think of a few reasons someone wouldn't want to have priv. there is certainly at least one benefit of the rank that I could see as being pretty intoxicating to those with the mindset for it.

Yeah the mass undos are pretty lit

Faucet explicitly asked to have their privileged rank removed.
I do not know why.

Kem's account never had the privileged rank removed, ranks are applied/removed manually, user feedbacks don't have direct effect on user level. the only reason the account isn't privileged anymore is because it's deleted.

AoBird definitely deserved the demotion, though. Priv is a sign of express approval from the admins, if someone did something to lose their endorsement they ought to lose priv as well.

What happened to faucet though? I remember they had it once but they had it removed without any accompanying record

I miss Kemonophonic. :(

Even though I'm not very active here since my father dying of colon cancer last year and a huge transphobic harassment conspiracy starting against my girlfriend also occurring last year, I hope I'm somehow not part of the reason for what happened.

I didn't mind the DMails I got out of the blue and always tried to respond to them in like.

It's unfortunate how Privileged individuals often acquire negative records that result in them being promptly demoted back to a member rank. This has happened with AoBird and now Kemo.

Damn…

good question...

Kem had been acting notably odd for a little while (around the time that the blacklist overhaul with its bugs); just like-- kinda short with everyone and getting unnecessarily aggressive in edit reasons. then suddenly, few days later, decided to mass-hide a huge chunk/all of the account's forum posts/threads (including pending AIBURs) and comments, an action that was met with a negative record. less than two minutes later the account had been deleted.

:O

Sucks to spend an ungodly amount on the luxury of paywalled subscription services and superchats just to get that dopamine kick.

It's like any other addiction: first, its $1 on one service then maaaaybe another $1 or more then... boom you get on a spending spree and at some point it's cope and seethe just to keep the facade of satisfaction going.

For folks suffering from this problem, it's never too late to jettison off the subs and return back to life's simple and bare necessities. You'd be surprised on the cash you'd be saving immediately the moment that spending stops.
