    not sure if anyone here is interested in unfiction stories or ARGs, but I stumbled on this Cave Story-based YouTube series a few days ago (both the videos and the community/posts tab contain story elements).

    it's a bit early going, and it dosn't seem like its creator has really settled on much of a "direction" yet, but it's premise seems interesting enough to take a look.

    my take on the story; minor spoilers

    it seems to be another go at the ghost in the machine (sentient AI) trope. with some unknown character/group developing and testing player AI and level generation algorithms using Cave Story as an environment (for some reason).

    although this story comes at it from the angle of our host character (610) seemingly being one of the "ghost"s, rather than a third party (or just the antagonist) like these series usually get.

    I thought I saw a supercut video or something that had every instance of it (and that's why I start taking notice) but I can't find that video. maybe it's just something my brain made up when I was in bed with CoViD for ~2 months. like SM64 Honey%... although I swear Honey% was a real thing.

    I think the only things you didn't bring up that I'd consider mentioning is Cam Friends (also gets very heavy), and, if you don't mind MLP, Cold Storm.

    also, depending on how fluffy-pilled someone is willing to get, there are quite a few good series in that community.

    Oh yeah Cam Friends is pretty decent, forgot to include that one.

    Have you ever discovered a tag that has a low post count, and then you see a post that fits that tag, and then you go like, "oh poggers" and then add it there?

    Idk if people still say poggers. The last time it's ever used is probably two minutes ago by me.
