the problem is that I'm not sure if it'd take off, we already have talking_feral and nobody uses it.

Yeah, that's definitely true. I think I've figured out that for now "bestiality copytags:0 -talking_feral -dragon" seems to catch a lot of it after digging around in search.

I should make a TagMe project for talking_feral.

do we have a tag for, like, a character abusing their position of authority (a cop, teacher, boss, doctor, etc.) in order to take advantage of another character?

I often use unprofessional_behaviour for these kinds of situations but it feels like it's stretching the definition pretty thin. extra_credit is kind of this but specifically in relation to a student and teacher. I think something like bribery is kind of the inverse dynamic.

This is kind of the opposite of the feral_child/feral_human tagging situation. Tarzan-style feral minds in a human/humanoid/anthro species for example.

Authority abuse exists.

Maybe "sapient_feral" to catch ferals doing obviously human-intelligence things that aren't neccesarily speach in that particular image? Also, I had to look it up but that's a better term to use than sentient - normal animals are sentient, only humans (irl anyway) are sapient.

I discovered just now that, in addition to all the [gender]_penetrating_[gender] tags, we have [gender]_rimming_[gender}. But uh... is there an equivalent tag for cunnilingus? Is there even a single transitive verb we could use for such a thing???

forgive me if this has already been discussed here, but i feel like we should have a metatag for comics that are seemingly on indefinite hiatus. while i do know some comics just take a long time to keep making, i feel that comics that haven't had an end to them and haven't had pages added to them within, say a year, should be considered as being on indefinite hiatus.

We can't tag pools, and having such a tag applied to all posts of a pool would be a pain to manage. Especially comics that have hundreds of pages, having to continually add and remove the tag to each post whenever it goes into or comes out of a hiatus. It can be mentioned in the comic's pool description, though.

We have the is active checkbox lol
Sure it's not used often and is unchecked when the story comes to an end, so it might not be perfectly suitable.

is there a tag that combines "female_rimming_male" (or "female_rimming_gynomorph2) with "titfuck" in the same way that "rusty_trombone" combines "female_rimming_male" and "handjob"?

This post was missing tags for the background species, but I have no idea what to tag the top as. Looks like a dragon/roo/Mewtwo (Tail) to me. The OP doesn't mention it and the commissioner doesn't have it in their gallery. If nobody has any better ideas I'm just gonna use unknown_species

https://e621.net/posts/468627

We should probably have a separate stickied thread for "tagging discussion".

Did I miss an update or change to tag policy? Suddenly the tag "webcomic" doesn't seem to be here anymore.

topic #36003

It's not a change to policy per se, just the invalidation of a tag deemed far too broad, kinda like what video_games was

Is there a tag for cuddling up with a dick? I've tried multiple permutations with "cock" "penis" "genitals" "cuddling" and "snuggling" and none of them seem to return anything.

The tag for medical instruments like that? Basically like a flattened spoon.

alphamule said:
Name for that is not speculum but elevator , right? A speculum is for holding open with a reverse (expanding instead of compressing) scissor action, or in other words, has 2 handles. Yeah, getting too technical but wanted to tag it right. Not that tagging is working at the moment. XD

Come to think of it, does that count as improvised_sex_toy/insertion tags/penetration tags/others?

I got two.
Are artist social media handles/@s supposed to be tagged with anything other than artist_name?

Is there a tag for pubes that are a more natural full bush rather than a tuft above the genitals? big_pubes seems to have the content I'm looking for, but I think it's supposed to be for excessively abundant or thick pubes.

In description? Not sure what you mean. The artist entry lists all aliases, and if they're supposed to be separate SFW/NSFW or whatever.

I could have sworn that pubic_tuft was aliases to pubes aka pubic_hairs but yeah, I noticed that other day. Big_<anatomy_tag> seems to imply a specific size for each? Assuming it makes sense, thick bushes called big_pubes would imply they are in some way 'big'. Like, not just long, but wide or tall up the body?

alphamule said:

I mean when the @ or handle is included in the image/video alongside or in place of the artist's name or signature.

I answered my first question myself after initially discounting milking_table as being too specific, but the description confirms that is the answer to this question:
I feel like this might be something obvious, but are there tags for tables with holes, and for body parts placed through those holes? The "classic" example being a penis hole, like in this
post #4562687

I'm still curious if there's any tag for body parts placed through something like this though. Are the only options just for the object in question such as glory hole or milking table without indicating what, if anything, is placed through them?

For the question I answered myself, I added both massage table and milking table, since I think both apply.

Ah, you mean when it's basic text, not a full-blown signature. That is, block letters instead of cursive or the like? Yeah, that seems to be the definition of artist name.

I always base it on whether it's hand drawn. Is that not correct? If it's clearly a font and not hand drawn I use artist name. If it's clearly drawn by the artist and recognizable as such on multiple images I tag it signature, in combination with a platform-specific tag if it's applicable. Whether it's cursive isn't something that factors into it when I decide which to use.

I'm reviewing uploads I did with the signature tag. Actually I found an interesting example where it merited both, but I did not tag artist name originally.

Edit:
I'm finding a lot of examples where I am second guessing my decision to use signature. This one is a good example of one where I am confident signature was correct.

Oops, grew up with signatures always being cursive. Yeah, that makes sense. Main thing is if it's searchable. If someone's looking for signatures instead of just names, it might come up.

Hi, I just discovered that this site has a forum section, and I was wondering how I can start a new threat to ask for help finding art from a specific twitter artist. This probably isn't the right place to ask, but I'm new to this forum and I don't see a post new thread button anywhere on the forum home screen.

you mean like topic #23835? generally it's best to ask here so your post dosn't get de-bumped by other discussions.

Is there a tag for trimmed sections of larger animations, for example a looping submission that is part of a larger animation that has a beginning and end? Are submission parent-child relationships the only option for those situations?

I searched but unfortunately Google brought me to this search pollution: topic #38126

PSA: If you post asking a question be sure to add your answer if you find it and no one gives you an answer in a topic. The same goes for answering someone with a link (and only a link), which may be dead in the future. Otherwise, you pollute search results. It looks like the user in question never followed up in this topic as advised, so now I'm asking.

Here is the original question:

No idea, but I imagine we could create and use excerpt for it.

I just noticed dude has been aliased away to male.

Bro still exists, but if dude was destroyed I fear that may be next. A decent number of accurate searches were washed away with that alias for a very specific theme. The "bros being bros" "dudes being dudes" thing is a very specific theme. Is there a tag for that? Who knows how many were washed away with that alias if there isn't one I'm not aware of.

It was brought up in the alias topic about there being a tag for "a single word" not making sense. But in this case it absolutely did in that context. But perhaps another tag is a better alternative. Does one exist?

Here's a SFW example:

NSFW examples:

It's related to the whole "no homo" joke, but it's not exactly the same thing.

Do we have a tag for when a character is being told, commanded, or otherwise persuaded into begging? I've been looking for an example but i can't find one.

Is there a good tag for images like post #4538143, where one character/the viewer is looking at nudes of a character, in their presence, but without their knowledge? I tagged this "sending_nudes" but if she sent it it directly to the viewer she wouldn't be confused, we don't know consent so it's not "revenge porn"(maybe she has onlyfans?), and neither tag captures the power dynamic and confidence/vulnerability contrast of looking at them naked, often in a public setting.

Is there a tag for when a character has more anthro features than a kemonomimi but still barely has a muzzle/almost human face. I guess I've seen it called 'anime style' but that's too broad a tag because it would count for anything from actual humans to Beastars style.

https://e621.net/posts/1005624

Is there a proper tag for french_girl? Every post under this tag is for the pose, but I dunno what the name of the pose is if it is named.

I think a lot of the ones I've seen would be argued against having a fully human face. Like https://e621.net/posts/1028563 and https://e621.net/posts/948350 while I would call it humanoid face I think there's enough "hint of a muzzle" that it could be argued against. uncomfortably_close_to_humanoid_face is probably not the best name for a tag but I dunno if we have one for 'borderline' cases vs 'definitely human', even if it has 'fur color' and animal nose.

do we have a tag or a combination for:

1 a character forced to pee in a dog's peeing position
2 a character incontinence while being pernterated and it's unwillingly

thanks!

for the 2nd one we have sleep_rape and sleep_molestation does those work?

did not know that was a word

i also missed that and thought they wanted the sleep stuff. bet seeing as how they wanted the pet pee they may have actually wanted incontinence.

it is a little confusing when they spelled penetrated wrong.
...unless thats another word we got to look up

a character incontinence while being pernterated and it's unwillingly

for 2, for example the character is stil awake (or conscious) but due to the fullness of the bladder he can't control himslef

watchdog22 said:

there is an incontinence tag and there is also a peeing_while_penetrated
so there are those

those should work unless they don't show the exact specifics of relief due to the additional penetration pressure

Are there any specific tags for characters urinating in some sort of rubber suits? preferably visibly bulging out and stuff, but not required

I think part of the problem is just how broadly the tag "socks" is used around here. As far as I can tell it just means any garment that is covering the foot at all.

As stupid as it sounds we might need another tag that denotes the traditional sock...maybe something like "ankle_socks".

Are "Short_sock" and "Long_sock" a thing?

I know there already is tags for stuff like girly_penetrating or dominant_femboy, but they just get roped into disambiguation tags or whatever. So it's just "penetration"... So what's the point of these tags if they don't even work!

josou_seme exists. I agree with you about those aliases being unfortunate though and I'm hoping they get changed soon because I think the insistence on not having such a clearly demanded tag for something that can't be searched for otherwise is ridiculous.

snpthecat said:
That might be on the chopping block so....

If it is, I'll riot (...within the rules of the site, of course), because this is just getting ridiculous. Actively makes the site worse by making it so people just straight up cannot search for a popular fetish.

Do we have a tag for fangs showing while the mouth is closed? I'm surprised I can't find 'overhanging_fangs' or 'vampire_teeth'. Just 'fangs' feels like it shouldn't even be a tag, like nose, it's just too broad without having more specific traits attached to it. https://e621.net/posts/1176035

I want to add a wiki tag for eye_patch_bikini, this would be the definition I took from danbooru and i think could work here:

"A strapless_bikini where the top consists of two square-cut pieces of fabric resembling a japanese eye_patch and held together with two parallel straps. Often seen in a micro_bikini size that only covers the nipples."

Is it okey?

It looks like an appropriate and suitably descriptive name to me. About the only difference from what I was initially picturing was that there's two patches (which makes more sense).

clawstripe said:

I know, right? That's why I changed it to specify a japanese eye patch instead of a medical eye patch as it originally mentions in danbooru, because it looks more similar to this type of bikini, at least on google results, i haven't seen a medical eye patch in years

Is there a tag for someone transforming someone else? Im looking for something that requires two people. It should include consensual acts, (not forced_transformation).

Like, for example, a shapeshifter tries her powers on someone, or someone is a guinea pig for a new pill.

I'd've expected it to be character_transformation but that tag's only got two posts... there's tf_into_fictional_character which seems like an odd tag to me, but that might be what you're looking for.

It sounds like they mean one character causing another to transform, like in
post #4660849
It doesn't necessarily need to be someone transforming into a preestablished character.

I'm not aware of such a tag, and I imagine it could be difficult to discern with TWYS (e.g. would post #4599889 count? how do you determine the cause of something given a single image? it can end up very subjective without enough context, which is often the case).
