Sonic and Shadow are great.

If only Shadow really was evil opposite required for this sort of Epic opposition. Instead he turned out to be more of a emo, instead of a Chaotic Evil arch rival of Sonic.

I think thats right.

Lawful Neutral (Switzerland) and Chaotic Neutral ("I'm an adult, I do what I want!") were also in there. Now you just have Lawful Good, Good, Unaligned, Evil, and Chaotic Evil. Way to simplify, WotC!
