Two of the enemies which drop a shield power up appear near the starting area. They have the wrong palate though. This behavior seems to have introduced in Vectorman 2 (Prototype - Aug 27, 1996). So unexpected to find something like this now.

Well I learned something new tonight.

Vectorman 2's Ron's Test Level has two enemies which I've never encountered before. Go to the lowest level, then Free Movement Mode is best to go to higher level.

Oooooooh. So this is what the odd egg sprite in Vectorman 1 Train level is. Vectorman's train form shadow. I found it first in the earliest known Vectorman 2 proto and it seems to be the same.
