    I love my company, who put in a salary freeze due to sales/revenue being down the last 16 months, hit some older staff with paycuts (the only alternatives given are early retirement with no buyout, or permanent layoff), and any new hires being offered minimum wage only.

    See, they have the solution to tough financial times: add two layers of middle and upper management! Nothing like the addition of multiple six-figure salaries to micro-manage a company to prosperity ...

    Try to convince your boss on working lesser hours if you’re that stressed. They shouldn’t be allowed fo work you to death. I’m pretty sure they’ll cooperate.

    I got this by my managers until it got ridiculous as i was constantly being called in and having to drop plans to help out and they were more than ready to throw me under the bus when i got scammed that time when i was put on my own on a nightshift

    It's very much not great for ones mental health to work with abusive/sociopathic employers. I understand needing "money", but you need to be very careful with some workplaces. Don't be afraid to quit your job if you're indeed being taken advantage of psychologically.
