dear taggers: stop tagging trans ppl as intersex, they're not. tag dickgirl or cuntboy and itll automatically correct to whatever e6 staff set it to before. trans doesnt mean intersex. females with penises doesnt mean intersex. please tag appropriately, these are different things.

So my band’s frontman who doesn’t play bass said that using a pick on bass is stupid

You get a totally different sound using a pick that cannot be easily replicated with fingers, so if that's the sound you want it would be stupid not to use one.
Also using a pick is often the best way to get a good quality recording. I always recommend that for players who have inconsistant velocity between different fingers. It allows you to use less compression on the input and weirdly get a more organic sound as a result.

@Kemonophonic: My only issue with these is that I have to perform some extreme levels of EQ to even get actual bass response out of these, makes me wish I had some sort of low-end amplifier to put between the earbuds and the audio connector so I don't have to rely on software methods. (Because software methods will result in the audio exploding on anyone elses end but "mine" through those earbuds)

Most of these headphones "go out" because the soldering jobs they do on these things are sub-par, same with wiring.

Re-soldering by hand, maybe also re-wiring the things will often prevent one portion of problems from ever happening again, but there's nothing much you can do about external wear-and-tear because, again, nobody uses robust materials in anything these days.

@French_Fried: @Kemonophonic: I looked at some reviews and found others having the same problem. The problem was basically that they were cheap and analog :/
