Jordan Brand (originally titled as "Brand Jordan") is a subsidiary brand of Nike that makes footwear, sportswear, and other related appeal and accessories. Starting off as a signature shoe line called "Air Jordan" for Hall of Fame basketball player Michael Jordan in 1984, it became a subsidiary brand in 1997 with Michael earning royalties and part-ownership of the brand.
Since then, Jordan Brand as expanded into a multitude of sports, including baseball, football, auto racing, soccer, college sports, boxing, and wrestling.
