hovercar
A car that makes use of hover technology instead of the traditional wheels, enabling it to traverse land and water surface with less friction, as the vehicle doesn't touch the surface, thus more speed. A staple vehicle of science fiction stories.
Not to be confused with
- flying car - Car-shaped/sized aircraft capable of true flight as opposed to merely just hovering.
