fried chicken
Fried chicken is chicken meat that is coated with a batter or seasoned flour and then fried.
Processes used to fry chicken include pan frying (cooked in a frying pan with some oil or fat as lubricant), deep frying (submerging the meat in a vat of hot oil), pressure frying (the meat and cooking oil are held to both high temperatures and pressure using a dedicated pressure cooker; this is the method used by KFC), and air frying (the meat is placed in convection oven that uses hot air instead of oil to fry the meat).
Fried chicken can be in the form of breasts, wings, thighs, or legs.
