bcd
A bcd is a piece of scuba equipment, and it stands for Buoyancy Compensator Device, and it can inflate or deflate to help the diver maintain a neutral buoyancy, which is also influenced by: the amount of weight on the weight belt or in trim pockets, the wetsuit/drysuit itself, the air tank and also by the diver with its lungs.
BCDs come in many shapes and sizes, the most common one is the "jacket", in which the air bag goes along the diver's back and sides.
BCDs also usually come with an inflation/deflation hose connected to the air tank.
