Character: gerard keay
Gerard Keay, or "Gerry", is a character in The Magnus Archives, featured most prominently in episode 111. He is the son of Mary Keay, an ambitious occultist who sought to master dark powers. As a young adult he was freed from the clutches of his abusive mother by Gertrude Robinson, a woman who sought to oppose the eldritch gods who control the universe. He assisted her under the public pretense of them being grandmother and grandson. During their travels he died of brain cancer, but Gertrude bound his soul to a book; by reading the book, his ghost can be summoned.
As his source material is audio-only, Gerard has no canonical appearance, so accurate tagging may have to depend on word of the author. He is commonly depicted as a slim pale-skinned human with punk aesthetics such as a leather jacket and dyed hair.
