Character: elias bouchard
Elias Bouchard is the primary antagonist of The Magnus Archives. He is the director of the Magnus Institute, an organization that officially researches the supernatural but in actuality acts as an agent of The Eye, a supernatural entity representing the fear of being watched. As the protagonists of the story are employees of the Magnus Institute, Elias often uses his role as their professional superior to manipulate them. The end of the series reveals that his true identity is Jonah Magnus, founder of the Magnus Institute, who is possessing the body of Elias Bouchard as a form of pseudo-immortality.
As his source material is audio-only, Elias has no canonical appearance, so accurate tagging may have to depend on word of the artist. He is commonly depicted as a mature white human.
Though not canon, it is popular fanon that Elias is in a romantic relationship with Peter Lukas.
