A parent is an individual who has at least one child.
- A male (or an intersex equivalent: an andromorph, maleherm) parent is called a father.
- A female (or an intersex equivalent: a gynomorph, herm) parent is called a mother.
Generally, the term "parent" is used in the plural to designate an individual's biological parents, and is often used to refer to opposite-sex couples...
However, this tag can totally be used to refer to: a single parent, a same-sex couple or even divorced parents.
