deus vult
Deus Vult, to be directly translated from Latin as "God wills it."
The term originated as a battle cry during the Crusades, used by the Catholic Templars as early as the First Crusade, and as such, is often seen in artwork representing the Crusaders, whether a character dressed in the vestments of the crusader (Most notably the helmet) or, more often, and more inaccurately, any knightly character.
