Hierarchy play is the act of two characters at minimum, at least one of which is of higher or lower rank in the social hierarchy or food chain, involved in sexual activities, especially when the character of lower rank is the topping and/or dominant partner. Make sure to tag the specific social roles as well if we have tags for them.
Depending on circumstance, this may involve coercion and/or questionable consent due to the power imbalance between the two participants and the threat (implicit or explicit) of negative consequences if a lower-ranked character refuses to comply with their superior's request.
Not to be confused with power_play, which involves the weaker of the two characters, either physically or in other areas relating to battle, taking the role of a top and/or dom, though the two tags can overlap.
