fetal movement

Fetal movement describes when a pregnant character’s unborn child (or children) is visibly moving in the womb.
This movement causes deformations on the surface of the belly, ranging from subtle imprints of the unborn's feet, to more obvious bulges from stronger movement. Unborn kicking is frequently seen in hyper pregnancy, where it is often exaggerated.
Tagging Notes
- Fetal movement can possibly be confused with struggling prey in a vore scenario, especially with hyper pregnancy where the size of the belly can allow for a full sized character to be inside, however, there are several ways to determine if an image involves a pregnancy or vore
- The most obvious clues are typically the dialogue in the image
- The character lactating and/or wearing maternity clothing
- Pregnant bellies are often "small" and feature attributes such as stretch marks, an outie navel and a dark vertical streak down the centre line of the belly (known as the linea nigra)
- Fetal movement is frequently depicted as subtle indistinct round bulges on the surface of the belly
- A lack of indications suggesting the character has just eaten (licking lips, drooling, burping), or sound effects suggesting digestion
