Not to be confused with the Hollow Knight, the Knight is the main protagonist of the 2017 Metroidvania video game "Hollow Knight" developed and published by Team Cherry.

The Knight is a vessel who was hollowed out at birth by Void to contain the infection. They're a child of the Pale King and the White Lady, the sibling of other vessels and the half-sibling of Hornet. Due to the Void making it 'hollow' (having no real identity), the Knight canonically is genderless and is referred to in-game as "it" wherever a pronoun would be used. Not that this in any way prevents artists from giving it a gender anyway.
