Posts that depict two characters who are clearly in love with each other. Do not tag by outside information. It does not matter how much of a canon couple it is, this tag only applies if the couple is currently showing it.

This includes content such as two lovers walking together through the park, holding hands and watching a sunset, watching a movie while cuddling, or, yes, engaging in graphically depicted sexual intercourse.

For clarification, this is not an appropriate tag for any and all pairs of sexually engaged characters. Do not tag if such sex scenes are indistinguishable from one-night stands. This tag should not be used if there is no indication from either the artist or the character owners that the characters shown in the art are a couple. The romantic_ambiance tag can be used instead.

This tag is somewhat subjective, but a reasonable guideline is that there should be obvious visible affection, not just lust.

Not to be confused with:

• canon_couple - Romantic couple does not apply if the characters aren't currently acting romantically.
