A character that naturally has a physically wide crotch or groin.
The character's legs(or flippers) emerge far apart creating a big gap where the abdomen flows thru unobstructed by the character's thighs and usually but not always into the underside of a tail. Characters with a wide crotch do not have a 'pinched' human-style pelvic floor.
