Species: tulikettu
The tulikettu is a magical fox from Finnish myth, and are also known as firefoxes, tulirepo, and tulikko. According to legend, they're black in color, but their tails twinkle fire. If brushed the right way, their entire body can twinkle fire. They are highly valuable animals to hunt as the leather made from their skin is said to be far safer than open flames in gunpowder storages at night. The hunter who can catch a tulikettu will be rich for the rest of his life.
As can be expected, tulikettu are a way to explain the aurora in Lapland (northern Finland).
