Chief Bogo is a male cape buffalo and a major character of the Disney animated movie Zootopia.

He is Chief of Police of Zootopia's police force (the ZPD) and Judy Hopps' commanding officer.

He is initially hostile to Judy, due to having no faith in her because of her being a rabbit. When he begrudgingly gives her the tasks to find the missing zootopian citizens, he conditions that if Judy can't find them in 48 hours, he will take away her badge and decommission her from the ZPD.

He eventually warms up to her when she locates the missing citizens, which results in the arrest of the apparent culprit, Mayor Leodore Lionheart.

He is present during the arrest of the real culprit, Assistant Mayor Dawn Bellwether. He is last seen attending (and dancing) in Gazelle's concert along with Benjamin Clawhauser.

He also appears in the 2022 Disney animated series Zootopia+ in the fifth episode, "So You Think You Can Prance".

Trivia

• From what can be observed, Bogo and Clawhauser is a popular pairing, likely because of how they share the same interest in Gazelle and later attending and dancing together at her concert.
• The Zootopia+ episode "So You Think You Can Prance" also boosted the pairing further after showing the two dancing together in Gazelle's competition show, albeit it's only Clawhauser's dream.
