Reason:

BUR contents:
  • Unaliasing every (species)_ears tag from their corresponding (species)_humanoid tag.
  • Unaliasing every (species)_(gender) tag from their corresponding (species)_humanoid tag.
  • The humanoid tags are, hopefully, in alphabetical order if there's any missing tell me.

The reason for this unalias is that these terms could be easily being used while referring to anthros or possibly even ferals which could be a contributing factor for the common occurrence of humanoid mistags as pointed by Watsit on Topic: Tag issue: animal_humanoid, it seems believable to me what they said.

I'm not sure about the unaliasing of (species)_(gender) this naming convention seems common to refer to humanoid with animal features (such as animal ears or tail), but it's not hard to imagine that people could be tagging it on anthro characters and not realizing that it got aliased to a humanoid tag.

Now the ears, I strongly believe these are causing mistags. I've never seen someone calling a cat girl as cat ears or a fox girl as fox ears, no one does that or it's REALLY uncommon for someone calling animal humanoids that way. These seems to be the translations from the Japanese terms of that body type, which for me these translations are exaggerated, I don't think someone would use these translated versions and call an animal humanoid as animal ears.

What y'all thoughts? I'm not sure what to do with the unaliased tags either, so yeah... If y'all have any ideas that would be cool. Maybe alias every (species)_ears to ears and (species)_(gender) to the base animal, example: cat_girl to cat and fox_girl to fox.

Reason: Second part of the BUR, aliasing every (animal)_(gender) to the species tags that are shared between humanoids and anthros.

I can't request alias lickitung_girl -> pokémon_(species) as there's an invalid character.

Error

Error: Error: Consequent name 'pokémon_(species)' must consist of only ASCII characters (create alias lickitung_girl -> pokémon_(species))

For when "ears" get unaliased from the invalid tag

alias animal_ears -> ears
alias cow_ears -> ears
alias dog_ears -> ears
alias equine_ears -> ears
alias pony_ears -> ears
alias horse_ears -> ears
alias mouse_ears -> ears
alias rabbit_ears -> ears
alias sheep_ears -> ears
alias squirrel_ears -> ears
alias tiger_ears -> ears
alias wolf_ears -> ears
alias fox_ears -> ears
alias raccoon_ears -> ears

EDIT: The bulk update request #1602 (forum #321091) has failed: Error: A tag alias for chiropteran already exists (create alias bat_girl -> chiropteran)

Go for alias lickitung_girl -> lickitung or alias lickitung_girl -> pokemon_(species) instead. We've got BURs and aliases fixing the Pokémon issue up and running already, so you'd either avoid the issue with the first or be ahead of the game with the second.

Pokemon humanoid doesn't have a implicated tag that is shared between a humanoid and anthro species tag, like wolf(canine) and wolf_humanoid(canine) for example, so I think it's best to left it away from the BUR.

As (species)_(gender) tags are used to refer to both humanoids and anthros, the tag it needs to be aliased to has to be shared between the two bodytypes. Not sure if this made sense, I'm pretty bad explaining it.

The bulk update request #7319 is pending approval.

create alias animal_ears (3685) -> ears (0)

create alias wolf_ears (369) -> ears (0)
create alias fox_ears (826) -> ears (0)
create alias raccoon_ears (58) -> ears (0)

Reason: [animal]_ears have been used quite a bit on anthros/ferals instead of [animal]_humanoid (i've been responsible for a couple in mouse_ears) that I believe it might be better to alias to ears
