Curious on why every post comment has been "Updated by anonymous 3 days ago".

On the comments page, the outline around the main picture also appears on the avatar of every commenter. E.g. if the post is pending, everyone's avatar will have a blue outline.

I miss being able to see who all favorited an image. I thought it was fun to see what other people liked, not to mention that sometimes I could find other images I like that I might have missed otherwise. Of course, I miss the home page and general layout of the older version. And really just about anything else that will be mentioned by everyone on this thread.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

• Colored text doesn't seem to be working anymore and the end of the color tag puts the rest of the message onto a new line. Example
• Using same example, try editing and previewing DText, and the alignment of listed items breaks for items with color tags.
• Sections end when there is a new line separation instead of at [/section]. Example
• Adding a [/section] to a forum post moves its position to a new line even though it shouldn't be functional without the starting section bracket. Previous site functionality didn't change the position of any code formatting.
• The view version link for wiki histories doesn't show previous versions of the Wiki page.

Right now, it is way to easy to accidentally change the avatar (used to require a confirmation before, now it changes it instantly)

When trying to flag something when you dont have flag credit, you get the following error:

JSON is strangely formatted in my opinion.

Also, I have 9 flags in last hour, when trying to flag something it doesn't give any error (gives error on api). Simply, nothing happens.
There should be an error, but error should be after using 10 credit, not 9.

And also, most of my flags are gone (I had hundreds) and even of those 30ish i have now, only some are visible.

Logging in doesn't redirect you back to the page you were at before attempting to log in. If it did this before, which now I'm not sure of. Either way, clicking "Login to reply" at the bottom of a forum post should redirect you back to that same page after logging in.

Perhaps intentional, but as a normal user I can no longer edit Artist entry names. (e.g. I want to romanize this artist's name but must create a new Artist entry to do so.)

EDIT: More importantly, I can't edit that artist page at all because of the new ASCII-only rule for tags.

I really hope they reconsider the ASCII-only restriction for tags, at least artist names. Using a romanized artist name is not always possible with new or unaliased artist names, and even if non-romanized names are all eventually aliased to romanized ones, having new posts for a such an artist be none or unknown_artist because of this restriction will make it near impossible to properly fix.

The artist pages in particular would be the last avenue someone could have for searching an artist to see if there is a romanized name they should use instead. Not allowing it even there is just ensuring the problem is as bad as it can be.

When you vote up on your own comment there's nothing written in the red dialogue box you get that's supposed to tell you you cannot

The text for viewing deleted images should read "You cannot view this image.", not "You can not view this image."

It loads the image for a second then shows the broken image icon, and when you press upload it gives the error "error: ActiveRecord::RecordInvalid - Validation failed: File ext is invalid (only JPEG, PNG, GIF, SWF, and WebM files are allowed, File size is too large. Strange, I haven't had any issues with anything from Inkbunny. What's your browser?

• Clicking column headers on various index pages (user list, tag index, etc.) should sort the list by that column (and reversing if already sorting by that order, of course).
• There is no way to sort the user list by user level.
• If the "Posted by" information won't be returned to the post show page, then at least a way to verify that the post was uploaded by you would be extremely useful.
• There is no way to view only unread (or only read, for that matter) dmails.
• In fact, unread dmails should be much more prominent in the list - perhaps a green background instead of just bolded text, which is practically indistinguishable from read dmails.
• Old user_record URLs don't properly redirect if they include /index - for example, https://e621.net/user_record/index?user_id=2083. I don't know if any other pages are affected by the same bug, but the few I tried (/post/index, /tag/index) worked fine.

I can’t seem to remove any VERY old images from my favorites. If I go to the last page of my favorites (by id), none of the images there seem to get removed, even after several attempts.

Weirdly, this seems to apply to all date syntaxes now except for "date:day/week/month/year" (decade still seems broken, hah).

The tag "barbed_penis" does not appear in the search bar/autofill or on any post's taglist, though searching it brings up posts that definitely have the tag.

And "dogmom" as well. "dog_mom" does work however, but is a different tag.

A/D works to navigate pools, but left/right arrow does not.
Left/right is NOT universally disabled, though, for example it works to move through forum thread pages.

[Firefox 37, Arch Linux x86_64. Addons list on request, only possibly-relevant one I see is Imagus since it also wants to do shortcuts related to images -- but these only apply when its popup is active.]

Yes, as I said in my second edit, the rule seems to match specifically YOUR avatar (and not, say, mine, which is currently set to a relevant image).. Or maybe it's just matching you (the user) not you (the uploader) -- if you understand the distinction I'm making there. That last theory is probably good, since otherwise it WOULD be doing something to my current avatar.

.. I guess the next question would be, what happens if you change your avatar to something that is uploaded by you but not humanoid?

.. actually I'm not sure whether negative user metatag blacklisting is implemented, when I think about it. So that might just be being treated as humanoid user:kemonophonic. I think we can be sure that it is recognizing that some user-based processing should happen. Maybe it is working correctly for posts but wrongly for "user blocks" (for the lack of a better term: 'X user posted Y' and an avatar.)

If you are the first person to view a post since the site redesign, and that post had notes prior to the redesign, all of the notes get shoved into the top-left corner of the image at the exact same size. This behavior does not persist after a refresh.

My "Human and Nonhuman" pool should have several examples of this.

This is supposed to put all the images that match the criteria into as few pages as possible. Here, there's three images on the first page, two images on the second page, three images on the third page -- before the changes, if I did this search, it would just show as many results as could fit on the first page.

It looks like blacklisted images are taking up space on the page and just aren't shown. If I exclude blacklisted results by searching for (rating:safe score:>10 -female)

The list is slightly more condensed because it isn't listing the invisible posts tagged as 'female'... it seems that I would need to put my entire blacklist of tags in every search if I wanted the old way that it worked. Is there a fix or different way to do searches now?

I also started having this problem recently after I attempted to update my blacklist. It had been working correctly until then. A friend of mine hasn't updated his blacklist at all since the site UI update, and his results are still condensing like they used to.

This won't work because incompatible set of features not available on all browsers, and no fallback version. And yes, User Agent string checking to present the incompatible version only to said browsers is an ugly hack. XD

It appears that this is due to your email field being empty, when trying to edit your blacklist I get an error that your email is "wrong".
Try adding an email and it should fix this.

Since there are now images you can only view if logged in, I feel the site should do a better job keeping users logged in. In my experience, it logs me out about every other day, even though I have "remember me" checked. I consider this a bug.

If the tagging system were perfect, I'd have no problem with an automatic blacklist being enforced on certain contentious tags, but there's a very good reason I refuse to use my blacklist and instead just ignore images that don't do anything for me.

Another thing I consider to be a bug is that when not logged in, there is an option that from its description seems to disable the blacklist, and that option does nothing, as the blocked images are still blocked. Further, removing items from said blacklist has no effect.

TL;DR

• Site doesn't keep users logged in for longer than a session
• Anonymous Blacklist disable doesn't actually work
• Nothing happens when items are removed from anonymous Blacklist

Another thing that's confusing me is the page titles for posts. Sometimes it's the detailed format (characters (copyright) drawn by artists), and other times it only shows the post id. I looked in the settings page and didn't find anything related to a title format. Is this a bug? I like being able to see the artist name in the page title, so this is hurting usability with the tab saving browser extension I use

When you were viewing the post, the rating safe, questionable, explicit, were in the colors green, yellow, red respectively. That went away, and now it is all white.

Also I cannot be logged in on more than one device at a time. When I sign in onto the computer, I am logged out on my phone, and vise versa.

Thanks for posting with platform details, it really helps. Even if you're not able to go into great detail, it can often make the difference between a bug that can be sensibly triaged and one that is functionally 'the software doesn't work, halp'

So far this experience seems to relate to disabled or inadequate Javascript. Sites like ActivateJavascript will tell you whether your JS is enabled (and the particular link I give here might be helpful for Android users in enabling it if it is not already enabled)

It's enabled, but it might be outdated. Im using safari on a iPhone 4 so unless I can force update it I might just be locked out I posts

even with an PRNG which outputs non-repeating values, you still need some way of mapping these to actual posts among the search results.
if you used it as a seed for the current get_random_posts algorithm, it would still lead to duplicates, so it offers little advantage compared to using a simple PRNG.

is optimised with the assumption that all it needs to do is grab one page worth of posts.
in general, to have a randomly-ordered sequence in which you can go directly to any page, the DB has to read all the results which precede that page; that's simply the nature of random ordering, there's no way around it.

whether the random seed is persisted anywhere, and whether the RNG produces duplicates or not, are only a very small part of the solution for random-order pagination.

Tried to log in through the desktop versions of Firefox and Edge but it keeps telling me that the Username/Password was incorrect even though it wasn't. I can log in using Google Chrome's mobile version.
