I could have the dropdown on the post page also change that setting, like it already does in re621, but I am certain that people would be upset with me over that.

I am also using the latest version of Firefox, and it works fine for me.
If you are using a private window, then the browser would obviously not save your setting.
Otherwise, I'm not sure what could be causing this.

Both videos and image samples are being processed on the same server (and more importantly in the same queue).
Since the site is currently regenerating thumbnails for older posts, video conversions will also be delayed.

Trust me, we are trying to get this process done as quickly as possible.

“Disable cropped thumbnails” on mobile does nothing

In the new layout Pool titles are often either cut off, or on mobile are not displayed at all.

This makes it really hard to browse Pools both on desktop and mobile.

All thumbnails now appear giant and blurry for some reason. Only 2 columns can fit this format, instead of the typical 3 or 4. Tested on multiple devices.

Gear symbol under the Search Bar in the top left
If you're on mobile, go to the bottom of the page and you'll see Mobile Mode:On
Turn that off and the site will look like the desktop mode so you can change the settings then go back to Mobile Mode

Not the case for me. Whether Mobile Mode is on or off changes nothing back to normal for me

Mobile mode is off for me and it's all the same. Toggling cropped thumbnails doesn't do anything either.

Screen size and orientation of the phone (up or sideways) will affect this, as it is dynamic to the amount of space they have.
Otherwise there are custom CSS rules you can copy/paste into your User (Advanced) Settings to force a width on all thumbnails

I never really comment anywhere, but same for me, tumbnails are all broken, large and some are blurry regardless wether mobile mode is on or off.
Using chrome in incognito mode, id rather not have to change platforms or come out of incognito to visit here if possible.

in desktop there's a button under the search box with a gear icon, you can change how the thumbnails appear with that.

Ah thank you thats actually better, also just realised i was clicking the wrong gear this whole time >.>

I noticed this change just now but the option to add or negate tags to search seems to has been removed, this seems intentional because tags in sets still have this feature (oversight?).

Is this a temporary thing? that feature was really useful.

You have to have searched at least one tag if your talking about those little + and - buttons on the sidebar

Ah, okay that fixed it. Weird that 'massive and blurry' is the default, but I'm glad at least there's a toggle to go back to 'normal and visible' mode.

seems like even with that fix, old posts still get a blurry thumbnail
if I search for posts with the exact same resolution, for instance 1280x1800 (width:1280 height:1800)
newer posts thumbnails are 256x360, but past a certain point they're only 107x150

Thumbnails are being regenerated for all posts, it's a gradual process that takes an immense amount of time

For example here, it seems to be hiding several images by this artist, and I'm not sure why. Is this caused by the site regenerating thumbnails and stuff? I'm not mad or anything, the site does feel a bit faster than before, I was just worried some data was lost.

I'm not noticing anything on my end are you sure they're not getting caught by your blacklist or something?

as dba said looks fine to me. 3 pages x 75 images is 225 + 1 is 226, so that fits with the results count.

Do you know if one has to do this every single time they log in? Or will it be implemented into account settings?

But you helped me figure out what was going on: The images in a pool I looked at were uploaded out of order, on really different dates. The first page of results has this, posted 26 days ago: https://e621.net/posts/5619086?q=skeletonkid5

The next page in the pool that belongs to was posted five months ago: https://e621.net/posts/5365565?pool_id=47178

So the image is there, in the correct order in the pool, but since they were uploaded out of order, they weren't next to each other. My bad everyone, sorry.

Unfortunately that tends to happen from time to time. If one user decides to upload only one or a few pages that they stumbled upon, and then later someone else thinks to grab the whole comic to upload, it'll take yet another user to realize the order is wrong because if those out of order posts were uploaded first, then whoever is trying to upload the full comic will have those same pages denied as being a duplicate

Im currently experiencing a bug where the pools are all stuck as huge images in mobile mode. The images are so huge its only shows 2 side by side.

you already made a thread about this and I already replied with an answer.

there was a change to how the site determines how many columns of posts are shown based on screen widths. I'm not sure if it was on here or on Discord, but I believe that Cinder stated in the upcoming update there will be an option to manually select large/medium/small thumbnails which would change how many posts there are per row.

until then you can use custom CSS to manually force the posts per row to be to your liking in mobile mode:

.posts-container { grid-template-columns: repeat(3,1fr); }
 }

I am suddenly unable to favorite things. I keep getting error: undefined or a longer one that ends with "did you properly authorize your request".

Tried logging out and in, close and opening browser, clearing cookies. Still happening.

Same happening here. It seems that a couple of older favorites became the most recent ones after trying to favorite something as well

I'm also getting the favorite error, and most interestingly, this post: https://e621.net/posts/3299093 which I know for certain I have never favorited ever, was added to my favorites as if it was the last thing I did favorite. I get the error again when I try to unfave it

Noticing a bug where I can't add anything to my favorites. Everytime I do I keep getting this red banner that says error: undefined, I also noticed that other people on the forum were having the same issue. Would somebody explain what exactly is going on?

It’s an ongoing situation happening to a lot of people (myself included) and they’re working on a fix

I was able to favorite posts again, for a while. The error is back now

Hi, I seem to have an issue favoriting or unfavoriting posts atm. I get: 'error: undefined' when i try to favorite or unfavorite anything. I scrolled up and saw that there's a softblock for 80k posts so i tried unfavoriting some, but i still get that same error. Any help would be appreciated.

edit: I see, there's a bug, hope it's fixed soon.

no, other users have also reported faves being added to their accounts, so it's something going on with the current issue, so your account should be safe.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

I've noticed on all post when view from mobile a gear icon/menu is displayed overtop of the next button in posts. Making it difficult, if not impossible, to navigate using the next button.

on mobile the new search settings button overlaps elements below the search bar causing it to partially cover thumbnails in the posts gallery/search and obscure the next and last nav buttons almost entirely in post view pages.

also, related, could we maybe add the gesture toggle to that thing? it's kinda inconvenient having it in themes, if I'm being honest.

There's a very consistent bug where I try to add posts to a set and I just get an empty error message, when this happens I can't add posts to sets all day

I was looking under my account's settings for this, wasn't expecting it underneath the search bar.
Makes more sense to me for it to be in the same spot as the "number of images per page" one.

Same here. Favorites blacklist (which I use to only see posts I haven't seen before) no longer works consistently after today's changes.

After the maintenance patch earlier today, the CSS has been missing on about %30 of pages on the site, which also makes the images and favorite button not show.
Missing CSS persists across refreshes most times.

I reset my cookies and my site settings, logged out and back in, and it has persisted. Any ideas?
