Aurali or maybe Tony would have to explain the specifics behind it. But basically, I know there's a script that runs at least once a day that updates tag subscriptions, tag counts, and other stats, and that the site is NOT accessible during that time. I presume this is intentional, to prevent any changes in data being made while the script is running. But again, that's completely not my area of the site, so I'd take their answer over mine.

e621 is really slow for me at the moment.

I have the same kind of problem. I usually whitelist e621 on AdBlock Plus, but for now I'm "forced" to unwhitelist it, until the problem is resolved :c

I don't get the 500 Internal Server Error, but I do get incredible lag when it comes to loading. Most of the time, the page just doesn't load for me at all. Just keeps waiting for that ad.dragonads.com thing that Munkelzahn mentioned. I want my e621. ;.;

Expected Behavior: Should be able to remove them, like if it was tagged by accident, or something.

Actual Behavior: Nothing happens and the tag is still there. D:

Steps To Duplicate: Added "test" tag, then proceded to remove it.. That still works like normal. Also tried it on different posts and got the same problem..

People are also having the same issues in the comments of post #238807 so I know I'm not the only one.

This isn't a bug in this particular instance. The tag "dog" was on that image, and "dog" implies "canine". You can't remove an implied tag from an image without also removing the tag that caused the implication. (See the tag history here: http://e621.net/post_tag_history/index?post_id=238807 ).

If you ever run across this scenario again, it's good practice to search our Implication list page to see if the tag you're trying to remove is implied to something else. In this case, you'll see that "dog" implies "canine": http://e621.net/tag_implication?query=canine&user=&approved=all&order=tag

Speaking of not being able to remove tags, this one does seem to be an actual bug. post #238262 has a certain tag several have attempted to remove to no avail.

A really easy way to think about blacklisting is to think of it like how you would perform a search. So if you search for "cub female fox solo", all of the images that you see are what would end up being blacklisted if you added "cub female fox solo" to your blacklist.

It helps tremendously that we can actually see someone's blacklist when they're complaining about the blacklist not working. :P This is also how we recently discovered the bug that having too many tags in your blacklist will cause your account to become inaccessible.

It appears if you upload an image which gets rejected for being a duplicate (MD5 match), the tags you specified are applied to the original image. But, if the MD5 matches a post which was deleted as a repost, the tags don't carry to the original that it's a repost of.

Wrong colors in tag history.

Expected behavior:
When user adds tag it should be with green plus sign.
When user deletes tag it should be with red minus sign.
When user decision is changed by someone else, there should be black plus or minus sign.

Actual behavior:
It works well for normal tags, but if user changes rating or adds parent post there is always black plus sign, even if nobody changes this afterwards. Minus sign is red as expected though, at least for rating.

Steps to duplicate:
Just change rating of picture, or add parent post, and then look into tag history.

This could just be a browser issue, but when I try to add a note, it ends up in a strange, random place and can't be moved:

2. The image preview disappears when you navigate away from the upload page and back again. For example, I click on Tags to check on something, then click back to the Upload page.

3. Pressing "Enter" in the Tags field doesn't upload the image. It just puts you onto a new line in the tag field.

Yeah... I click on the "Contact" button and sent them 2 e-mails yesterday :
1. I don't know how to do something on the site
2. I want a privileged account

Still no reply after more then 24h...

First off this isn't a bug.

Secondly, you earn priv+, you don't get it just by asking for it. Judging from the fact you only registered sixteen days ago, have four tag edits and zero uploads, I am pretty damn sure you don't qualify.

I tried it just now, everything works as intended.
However, I wrote that report then the species tags were implemented but not yet colored.
So the server restart was probably enough to 'fix' it.

Bug: Can't upload from HTTPS links

Expected behavior: You should be able to do so.

Actual behavior: When you upload something, and you put a direct image link in the source, AND the URL is prefixed with HTTPS, then e621 responds with "Error: File not found, try uploading again". However: e621 does display the image preview, so it must be able to download images from HTTPS links.

Steps to duplicate: Upload any image from FA, using the direct image link as the source.

I know you can just remove the "s" from the "https" prefix and uploading will work. But it's still annoying because I always forget to do that and get an error message.

Bug: In upload screen Uploaded/Favorite Tags are overlapping related tags.

Expected behavior / Actual behavior: Favorite tags should not overlap related tags, but they do.

Steps to duplicate: Have over 30 tags in Uploaded Tags section in user settings, and during on uploading screen search for related tags to more than one tag.

Wildcard searches don't play nice with other tag searches, so you're best off using them alone. It's a known problem and will likely never be fixed unless we rewrite the search system from scratch.

Another bug I noticed, when I try to view my profile I get a 500 error. I managed to get around this by using the classic view.
