I will never understand mobile developers obsession with having a weird/slow/nauseating animation attached to every action. just make the thing appear on my screen when I click it, dude.

at least I can usually trust Android's "Remove animations" accessibility setting to bypass them...

but not always, because things are specifically designed to infuriate me specifically, I guess.

Anyone remember that one art piece with, I think, a feline dude of some kind sucking dick, and it was captioned “Real men blow their bottoms”?

I can’t find it and I’m not sure what tags to try and narrow it down.

I think you mean this image by Bedtime Buck, which posted to BSKY with the caption "Real men blow their bottoms"

Well, either that or it's my muscle memory talking

you're on mobile, though, don't you have to scroll down to the very bottom of the page?

there are points when I've found it useful for it to be there, certainly, especially when you're scrolling through the tag list and notice that something is missing or mistagged, but doing that all the time for normal tagging would be inconvenient.

I am a little surprised how many users used the little edit button way at the bottom of the sidebar exclusively, and were entirely unaware of the big one right under the image.

So... what actually happened to e621's SubscribeStar?

Update: I poked around and found out that a certain troll community claims to be responsible for getting the SubStar banned. Hard to say if this is true or not, but it isn't impossible since they've targeted this site before.

SubscribeStar's TOS is weird as hell so it prob got banned for some nonsensical bureaucratic reason. I remember checking the link here on e6 a few days before it got removed and the page wasn't even available then so idk how long it was like that

Every so often I feel a desire to draw comics and post them here, but I always doubt the quality of my work would cross the minimum thresholds, because I have hand tremors and my lines really do look like a seismograph experiencing overstim.

the button will be restored in the next update, until then there's the Comment|Edit mode toggles below the image/description. or you can use the hotkey.

Not that it's bad... it's really bad! Do join in folks every now and then!

Also thanks for the companionship. These might just be bits and bytes but they make a heart or hearts warm and grow NaN times

I also pop in this page once in a while.

Blips is kind of a pseudo-deprecated feature, at this point, now just functioning as a sort of dedicated Twitter-esque "uninversal off-topic forum thread" typea deal. they used to be attached to the user page, with blips sent both to and from a user showing up there.

unfortunately that "blips to a user show up on said user's page" bit was, like, just asking for people to abuse it. and, since all public user communication is handled exclusively by a small group of volunteers, the and there was no way to block/hide a user's blips, any abusive message would remain visible on said user's page until the report ticket was processed, which could be hours. and unlike post comments there's no downvoting it past a threshold or anything either.

it was so bad that, if you check out some Wayback archives of user pages (particularly of NMNY but probably others, too), it's not terribly difficult to find these exact types of blips.

Here’s the gameplay that I made and for what I was mentioning about on my previous blip. Thank God my typing lessons paid off in middle school years back… 😅
