@Doomguy666: The downside of Crystal Soul spears is you get one spell for every play through. By NG+7 you can forget trying to fight Manus fairly (use arrow glitch). I barely had enough spears for the four kings. Those four had me tightening my gut.

@vex714: I never got to use Crystal souls spears, most of my points went to stamina. they can't hit me if I keep moving.

@vex714: one of the things I liked about the bandit and ghost blade was the bleed damage.
I also tried pyromancy which worked great until Lost Izalith where everything was already on fire.

@Doomguy666: I gotcha, speed is key. That was why I switched to the Darksword sometimes. Crystal souls spears do ridiculous damage.

@vex714: I used the Zweihander sometimes, but I prefer knives and short swords because speed is what keeps me alive in those games. also less of a chance of hitting the wall in confined spaces.

@Doomguy666: Believe it or not I liked my chaos Zweihander or Dark Sword and plus 10 tower shield. By new game plus seven it becomes essential to have the Tin Crystal Catalyst with Crystal Soul spears.

@vex714: what's your favorite weapon? Mine was the jagged ghost blade. I really liked the bandit knife but the ghost blade did more damage. With the wanderers coat, ghost blade and crossbow I fought as a bloodborne beast Hunter before they were a thing.
