@Sharp_Coyote: ahh ok, so it's for a quicker response from the throttle. I didn't know about cars motors being operated via an internal computer. Though it makes sense to me because how else would diagnostic car readers work?

@vex714: turbo (and super)chargers force additional air into an engine, above what atmospheric pressure does. More air, so more fuel can be injected=more power. Every PSI of 'boost' is 1PSI above atmospheric pressure being forced in.
