@Sharp_Coyote: ahh ok, so it's for a quicker response from the throttle. I didn't know about cars motors being operated via an internal computer. Though it makes sense to me because how else would diagnostic car readers work?

@vex714: turbo (and super)chargers force additional air into an engine, above what atmospheric pressure does. More air, so more fuel can be injected=more power. Every PSI of 'boost' is 1PSI above atmospheric pressure being forced in.

@vex714: A turbocharged V6 can make power like a V8, turbo 4s like a 6, and mine little 999cc 3-hamster makes the power of a middling 4 cylinder. The fuel economy benefits are great, as long as you are not addicted to the boost.

The better response is just a bonus of this unit; the added turbocharger boost is what makes the extra power.
