Character: edelgard von hresvelg
Edelgard von Hresvelg is a playable character in Fire Emblem Three Houses, as a member of the Black Eagles house. She is the hero in Crimson Flower, the final boss of Azure Moon, and a major antagonist in other routes. She is a human axe fighter who favors heavy armor. She has unnatural white hair due to inhumane experiments performed on her as a child, which also shortened her lifespan. She was briefly step-siblings with Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd when they were children, but they have since grown apart. She hates Rhea and the Seirosian church.
As the princess (and later empress) of Adrestia, Edelgard is royalty. However, she hates the concept of aristocracy and willingly abdicates her title if she survives to the end of the game.
Like the other house leaders, Edelgard develops a close friendship with Byleth and is one of their potential love interests. She is canonically bisexual.
