Auto Vore describes a character partially or completely consuming themselves whole, often through surreal or bizarre means, and usually for comedic effect.

Most often is invoked by head insertion in literal depictions of the phrase "head up your ass" (although this can involve unbirthing the head instead), or cartoonishly eating (or attempt to eat) themselves foot first.

Alternatively, can involve a character consuming another instance of themselves, which can involve cloning, time travel, or magic — e.g. a character ingesting a voodoo doll in their likeness — this can also cross over with recursive vore, where the character is eating themself as they eat themself and so on.

Should not be confused with autocannibalism, which involves a character cutting or biting off pieces of themselves or is mutilated by another, and willingly or unwillingly eats their own flesh.
