An outfit worn by a superhero, cosplayer, or fan. The costume is usually designed with a specific color palette, pattern, or logo somewhere on their outfit unique to them such as Batman, Wolverine, Spiderman, or Nightwing for example. Some superheroes may have gadgets built into their costume to assist them in stopping crime.
