hilt
A hilt is the part of a bladed weapon, such as a sword or a dagger, used for handling the weapon.
Parts:
- Guard - Prevents your hand from slipping into the blades and cutting yourself.
- Grip - The part where you hold the weapon. A longer grips means that the weapon can be held with more hands.
- Pommel - A bump at the butt-end of the grip. It prevents the weapon from slipping away from your fingers.
