Species: kawauso

In Japanese folklore, otters fool humans in the same way as foxes (kitsune) and raccoon dogs (tanuki).
They are called Kawauso (カワウソ / かわうそ / 獺 / 川獺) in Japanese, and regarded as a kind of yōkai.
