The story of the character is rooted in the legends of the ancient Babylonian kingdom. Yetzer Hara was considered a cross between a genie and an evil spirit living in the desert, which no mortal could find just like that.
If a traveler gets lost in the distant wilds of the sandy desert, in the evening, after sunset, he may come across a tent camp, from where smoke from a campfire rose from the center of the largest silk tent. Slow, melodious music was playing there, spices are blowing from this place and it attracts a traveler who has lost all hope of salvation. Entering the tent, he can see how the whole floor is littered with red, elegant pillows, musical instruments play by themselves. And in the middle there is a fire burning, smelling of intoxicating incense. A tall, naked Yetzer Hara dances around the fire and tries to make eye contact with the traveler. Crossing his gaze, a person lost all will and became her slave for the night. The genie pulls the soul out of a person through sexual intercourse all night, making him go crazy with pleasure.
If you don't cross eyes with her, but just turn around and leave, then you can stay alive. It was from the survivors that these legends and tales passed to the masses.
