edwardian
The Edwardian era is a period of history exactly between 1901 and 1910, spanning the reign of King Edward VII. It is often considered part of the Victorian era of history, approximately between 1820 and 1914, although Queen Victoria reigned from 1827 to 1901.
This era also occurred before before World War 1, but is named after King Edward VII of the United Kingdom. The Edwardian period is sometimes portrayed as a romantic golden age of long summer afternoons and garden parties, basking in a sun that never set on the British Empire, a calm before the storm that would be World War 1.
