The Fleep is a fictional species created by Baron Joshua in the year 2020. They first appeared in his "About the Fleep" document posted on DeviantArt.

The document read as followed;
*The Fleep is an intelligent nocturnal creature whose body resembles that of a furry snake. It's body is long and serpentine with two tiny legs on either side of the body. It's legs, each of which ends in a three toed paw, help it to raise it's body up. Fleeps stand in such a fashion when conversing and hunting Twinklebugs. The head of a Fleep is like most of it's body covered in a fur though it's thinner on the head. The Eyes of a Fleep have been observed in colors of pink, purple, or blue with the fur usually being white. The Fleep doesn't have teeth. Rather the jaw bone shows through the gums creating a kind of 'cupping' mouth. Fleeps have two ears on either side their head near to the back of the skull. The ears may look like those of a deer or fox. Behind the ears one may find horns that resemble the branches of trees and where these horns meet the skull behind the ears one will find the base of a 'tendril'. The tendrils of a Fleep are thin extensions it can more around for expression much as a Human might gesture with their arms. Each tendril ends in a glowing orb though some individuals have endings that look a bit like a flowing flower.The Fleep's most notable feature however may be a translucent display below the head and about a foot from the base of the jaw. This display reveals a kind of gullet the Fleeps call 'a jar'. The Fleep's primary source of food are Twinklebugs and it uses it's tendrils to attract them. Once a Twinklebug is close the Fleep will catch it with it's mouth and add it to their jar. The more they catch the more Twinklebugs are drawn to them and thus the easier it becomes to feed as the night goes on. Once the Jar is full the Fleep will stop hunting for the night to socialize with others often leading to gatherings of lantern like Fleeps surrounded by Twinklebugs. As dawn approaches the Fleep will go back to their home. The home of a Fleep could be a hollow log, a tunnel, a cave, or other place it can rest away from the sun. Before going to bed the Fleep will move the Twinklebugs from the Jar to their stomach by inhaling into a 'bellows' located above the jar. Each exhaust of the bellows into the jar causes the gate to the stomach to open and blow Twinklebugs further down. The process is rather relaxing for Fleeps and serves as part of their bedtime routine- a bit like how Humans get shallower in breath as they drift to sleep. Once the moon begins to rise the Fleep will wake up, get something to drink, and begin catching Twinklebugs again. While Twinklebugs form the primary food source for Fleeps they will generally try anything phosphorescent though not always finding such to their liking. Fleeps are friendly creatures though they do prefer to socialize only after filling their jar. Nobody wants to go to sleep on an empty stomach after all. Fleeps can use their light to guide other beings out of the forests if they get lost. Subject wise Fleeps seem to be able to find something to talk about even on quite nights. They have a curiosity about the daywalking people and may ask questions about clothes, games, light sources, and other subjects.*
