footstool
A footstool is a piece of furniture designed to rest your feet on. Footstools may resemble a small table, which may or may not be padded. Some models can double as seating, or as furniture to kneel on.
Ottomans, hassocks, and poufs are classified as types of footstool, and only unpadded footstools lack a specific name.
