A Saltire Cross (also known as an X-Cross or X-Frame) is a type of bondage equipment that typically provides restraining points for the subject's ankles, wrists and waist, forcing them into a spread-eagle position once secured to it. This equipment can be used for whipping the subject, as a sexual bondage position or for sexual teasing of the subject, depending on which way the subject is facing: normally, facing towards the cross means the subject is likely to be whipped, while facing with their back to the cross is for sexual teasing.
