Character: atn-7 sydney sign-off mother kangaroo

The ATN-7 Sydney Sign-Off Mother Kangaroo was a kangaroo character that appeared in a short animated bumper for the Australian Television Network (now known as Seven Network) from 1956 to 1993, disassembling the "ATN Channel 7" logo to make a bed for her joey while a summary of the next day's programming was read off before the broadcast ended for the night. She was retired when the station changed to 24-hour broadcasting and no longer had a need for a sign-off period, but made one final appearance in 2013, her bumper being replayed in the broadcast station's final moments during the Digital Television Transition .
