Track pants are athletic pants often worn while running outdoors, working out indoors, or casually. They can be paired with a matching track jacket as part of a tracksuit, or worn with other topwear (if any at all). Track pants are typically made of a light, nylon material, and are usually fairly baggy, although sometimes track pants may feature tapering lower legs and tight cuffs on the ankles. Track pants are often black with a pair or trio of stripes going up the sides of the pants.

Track pants are frequently confused with pants worn in similar scenarios, and mistagged as one of the following:
- Yoga Pants: Yoga pants are always skin tight, often feature a wide waistband or are worn high on the wearer's waist.
- Sweatpants: Sweatpants are baggier and thicker than track pants or yoga pants, they're often not form fitting, and have elastic waistbands or drawstrings hanging from the waist.
