Polka dots are spots that are perfectly circular in shape, and consist of similar dimensions relative to other polka dots. Polka dots are most commonly found on fabric items such as clothing.

Contrast with animal spots, which may have irregular shapes, and icon patterns which use the tag format <icon name>_pattern.

For spots that appear in backgrounds, use dotted background instead.
