A default cube is a cube without textures and with the default material properties (i.e. not metallic, glowing, etc.) typically of dimensions 1x1x1 or 2x2x2 meters, depending on the software.

"The default cube," rather than just "a default cube," usually refers to the cube that is generated when starting a new project in Blender. This particular default cube is often the butt of jokes, as many Blender users regard it as useless and immediately delete it.

Any textureless cube of approximately the correct dimensions should be tagged as such, including depictions in non-3D mediums clearly intended to be the default cube.
