A system of body restraints, originally developed for holding a patient to a bed in a medical setting.

It consists of several base straps that go around the mattress/bed, and various cuffs and harnesses that go around a critter's body and attach to the base straps. The cuffs, harnesses, and straps have small holes at regular intervals; pegs go through the holes to adjust the size of the cuff or harness, and to connect them to the base straps. The straps are usually white, but can be drawn in other colors.
