corrosive
The chemical property of a substance to violently react with another more stable substance or compound; as a common household example, old degraded batteries (battery rot), which will cause painful chemical burns on the skin if in contact. Often, an acid such as vinegar or soda can be used to counter these effects, though acids may also cause corrosion in the first place.
