"Tattooification" describes when a character or creature is transformed into a tattoo on another character's body.

This tattoo is usually an image of the character's face, but can also be a small, full body representation of the character; alternatively, the tattoo may be a symbol representative of the character (such as a cutie mark for a My Little Pony character).

The tattoo may emote or even think/talk in some cases, or possibly allow the bearer of the tattoo to channel the spirit of the character-turned-tattoo. These tattoos may be explicitly explained, or implied to be the result of a curse or magic spell, be a part of gameplay mechanics, or simply be caused by unexplained cartoon physics.

Tattooification in Vore

Tattooificiation is most often seen in vore content, where the term "tattooification" itself may have originated.

It is specifically seen in after vore with the completely digested/absorbed character appearing as a tattoo on the body of the predator character; tattooification can reinforce the themes of domination and humiliation common in vore content, and can also act as an indirect tally of who the predator character has consumed. Post-vore tattooficiation is almost always combined with other effects on the predator, such as weight gain or expansion, and the tattoo of the consumed character will usually appear on expanded or fattened body parts (e.g. butt cheeks, breasts, belly etc.)
