MANKIND IS DEAD.
BLOOD IS FUEL.
HELL IS FULL.
ULTRAKILL is an indie first-person shooter developed by Arsi "Hakita" Patala and published by New Blood Interactive, taking inspiration from Dante's Inferno, Devil May Cry, Doom, and Quake. The game harkens back to the old age of FPS games, favoring fast-pace combat, arena-based encounters, speed, mobility, massive weapon loadouts, aggressive yet strategic combat, and gore. LOTS OF GORE. The game takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where humanity is extinct, and all that's left are robots that run on blood. Since they're running out of it and Hell is full of the damned, the robots invade Hell to find more of the precious red fuel.
The game puts the player in the eyes (or more precisely, eye) of V1, a cyclopean winged combat robot whose unique refueling system allows them to repair damage by absorbing blood. Like the other robots, V1 invades Hell to find more blood while slaughtering damned souls called Husks, along with demons, other robots, angels, and much more.
At this time of writing, the game is under Early Access, but the game can be bought in its Steam page, and a free demo can be played in both Steam and itch.io.
