pearl necklace
A necklace made of pearls strung together, usually all white or off white. Pearl necklaces may be worn in multiple rows or with a second necklace, they are usually drawn tightly worn around the neck, but conversely, are sometimes shown hanging far down from the wearers neck.
Wearing a pearl necklace has several cultural associations, it may signify a character being wealthy (especially when worn with a fancy dress or evening gown), a "professional woman" (when worn with business attire), and most of all, have a heavy association with being worn by middle aged and elderly women in media.
