Character: della duck

"Nothing can stop Della Duck!"

Della Duck, also known as Dumbella Duck and Thelma Duck, is Donald Duck's sister and the daughter of Hortense McDuck and Quackmore Duck. She is also the mother of Huey, Dewey, and Louie, Donald's triplet nephews.

Della has rarely appeared or been mentioned throughout all Ducktales and Disney media. She was first mentioned in the 1938 cartoon short "Donald's Nephews" which was the debut of her triplet sons. She makes her first physical appearance in Don Rosa's "Duck Family Tree".

Della was rarely seen or mentioned in any form up until she was introduced as a major supporting character in the Ducktales (2017) Reboot, which gives her a modern design and greatly expands upon her personality, relationships, and backstory; and provides an in universe reason for her general absence for many years.

In the reboot she appears to have a height and build very similar to her brother Donald. She has long white hair (or possibly feathers) and eyelashes, and a yellow bill and right leg, with the left leg being a self-built prosthetic made of grey metal. She was forced to amputate her leg after crashing a shuttlecraft on the moon - it was trapped under the wreckage and she was in danger of being crushed to death. As a pilot, she wears an aviator's uniform consisting brown coat, pantaloons, an old-fashion aviator's helmet, and a light blue scarf that she wears around her neck.
